9 Musicians form our proud Eunice orches, thus no one interprets music the same way. As a result,we have the opportunity to share different styles and opinions about how the music should be played and what instruments can be combined to get a desired result.
The orchestra gives the pupils the opportunity to build self-confidence by playing their different instruments. Since each pupil plays a different set of notes, each one is responsible for learning her own part. They learn discipline, auditory discrimination, expressing emotions through their instruments and they also have the opportunity to socialize within this musical setting. Pupils are given the opportunity to choose music that they would like to play, thus encouraging free-will, creativity and participation.
Orchestra members also improve their sight-reading skills, which is not always an easy thing to accomplish. They also improve their counting, listening and concentration skills and their ability to aim higher – to obtain the best sound they can as they have to do several tasks at the same time. While sharing wonderful moments of enjoyment, fun and creating some music together, they experience music as one universal language.
Orchestra practice starts ( 14:00 – 15:30)
